maybe he had a disease called trechers disease which allows you to be born without some bones. Maybe as a baby his hand was just a mere skin flap that was later amputated and replaced with a hook in order to live a life more acceptable to society. I could see where you are coming from though, with this whole ‘cut off in battle’ thing, because he is a pirate, but i like to think outside the box.
…um…Blake, that film was made far after the original Peter Pan stories. That was almost certainly just something that the writers put in to try to be clever, not something out of the original story.
